Our client is one of the UK's leading office fit out and refurbishment specialists with a huge varied portfolio from fit out for a new city centre office to refurbishing a historical space in a Grade II listed building.

We are looking for a Bid Writer/Proposal Writer as maternity cover to support the Design Team and Pre-Cons Director in producing proposals for both the client and contract teams.

Job Title: BID Writer
Softwares required: Adobe Creative Suit in particular InDesign
Location: Birmingham (studio-based role)
Reporting to: Head of Pre-Contracts
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000
Length: 9-12 Months Fixed Term Contract

Specific Duties

• Compilation of Tender Deliverables on bespoke proposal/submission documents to required deadlines.
• Providing the question-relevant knowledge of the subject matter and work scope detailed in commercial office fit outs, for inclusion in the tender proposal document.
• Developing articulate, coherent responses to support comprehensive tender and PQQ submissions, utilising written text, photographs, sketches and supporting documents where applicable.
• Adopting best practice proposal writing techniques to maximise the scoring potential of the submission work to exceed expected quality standards, comply with processes at all times and contribute to improvements.
• Review and develop any draft responses provided by other members of the Overbury project team into submission ready responses.
• You will have responsibility for proof reading content whilst providing technical written material.
• Finalise submission documents in conjunction with the Head of Precontracts.
• Business writing skills including the ability to write persuasively, and to articulate others’ knowledge in written form and to articulate large quantities of information in a succinct, summarised manner.
• Research skills, ability to articulate requirements for visual representation.
• Construction background desired

I am working with a firm near Hertford who are looking for a Senior Architect to join their close-knit team. 

They work on a variety of projects including Residential, of all sizes, Restaurants and Hospitality. 

You will need to have up to date knowledge of UK Building Regulations, Planning Applications and Contract Administration. 

You will be responsible for producing drawings, communicate with clients to discuss projects, have technical ability and good knowledge of construction stages. 

This is an office based position so you will need to be commutable to the office. 

AutoCAD is the software they use across the office, so it is essential that you need to be proficient in this. 

Salary will be based on experience and ability but is expected to be between £40,000 - £50,000.
